PINEAL Asesores is a financial advisory firm; PINEAL Asesores was created to serve Clients who require or are considering fundraising in the public or private markets, undergoing a corporate reorganization processes or reconfiguring their financial model.

Our Founding Partners have more than 50 years of combined experience advising local and global companies, financial institutions, government entities and sponsors in infrastructure, real estate and energy projects. By developing a clear understanding of our Clients, we have been able to design and implement financial, economic and market strategies that generate solid foundations to achieve their objectives.

Professional with vast experience leading executive positions in the Mexican financial sector. Proven leader with the ability to define the business vision and strategy as well as attract and develop high performance teams, ensuring that each member contributes value individually to achieve team success in advising and financing local and global projects and companies.

Creation and development of the Capital Markets Origination Model for Citi Mexico, integrated with Citi’s global products such as Global/Local Debt, Equity, Syndicated Loans, Real Estate and Project and Infrastructure Finance, providing access to funding across markets and creating growth opportunities for the Companies and/or driving project development, being the leader for more than 10 years.

Execution of more than seventy transactions per year and management of a loan portfolio of USD $3.0 bn, including the funding of Real Estate and Infrastructure Projects.

Restructuring of over thirty loans and bonds for companies impacted by the “Tequila Crisis”; during his career Humberto has been very active in the negotiation of waivers and amendments for loans and public bonds, caused by the impact of various crises.

ALEJANDRO ELEK

BUSINESS PARTNER

Professional with vast experience in structured finance and investment banking. He has led debt and equity capital raising for clients and projects, as well as multiple financial restructurings specializing in infrastructure and energy projects.

He has entrepreneurial experience having developed, financed, built and operated renewable energy projects, as well as founded the first fintech platform focused on renewable energy projects. fintech platform focused on small-scale solar projects.

During his 15 years at Citi in both New York and Mexico, he focused on lending and restructuring loans for clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He established the infrastructure and energy practice at Citibanamex offering funding alternatives in the banking and public markets. Participated in mergers and acquisitions processes for Citi Latin America, focusing on proprietary acquisitions, as well as the sale of non-strategic assets.

He worked as a Financial Analyst at McKinsey & Company for 3 years focusing on projects in the financial, consumer and government sectors. Alejandro holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
